Project goal:To design a system for calculating transportation costs for safari operations
What was done:
Developed a centralized database containing information about routes, guides, fuel prices, and more.
Created a Google Sheet that lists all daily movements, fuel expenses, guide fees, and additional payments for each day of the safari. This data is automatically populated from the tour cost calculation.
Prepared daily, weekly, and monthly reports, as well as tour-specific reports, predicting transportation expenses and outlining guide service schedules.
Achievements:
Reduced the time needed for planning transportation costs by automating data transfers.
Achieved savings on unforeseen transportation expenses through detailed cost predictions, both tour-specific and on a calendar basis.
Optimized the management of guides and vehicles through efficient planning and timely reporting.
